Elderly women win fight over crab apple tree By AP

74-year-old Lea Perrone and 65-year-old Pat Henry tied themselves to a crab apple tree to protest its removal  at their elderly housing complex, after a decision by the Shrewsbury Housing Authority to cut it down to relocate a trash bin. ** to relocate a freaking dumpster- I am assuming a dumpster.*** how offensive is that !!  After they had the temerity to protest, they received eviction notices.

On Monday, Perrone, Henry, and a third woman who was threatened with eviction for violating the complex's policy by keeping a chair on her porch (I assume one is only allowed to stand on the porch- no sitting on the porch allowed- so what the hell is the point of having a porch? Oh, its an elderly housing facility- it sould  have the appearence of hominess and friendliness without actually being homey or friendly.) met with Housing Authority members. Their lawyer, Christopher Uhl, said the housing authority agreed not to evict the women and said the crab tree will stay put. How frikkin big of them. How about an apology for being offensive thugs?
